Dear Feroze,

Pastor Wayne Sapp seems to belong to the lunatic fringe which exists in every society/ community. These people would die for worldwide publicity and would die without it in obscurity. I found on the referred link a very sensible response : "September 11 this year falls within the Eid al-Fitr holiday when Muslims mark the end of fasting for the holy month of Ramadan. RNS reports that local Muslims are planning to use the feast as an opportunity to share Islamic traditions and Qurans with the church members and the wider community. "We don't want to do anything that would be reactive," said Ramzy Kilic, communications director of the Tampa Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations."

Similarly on You Tube, I found this remarkable comment : "As a Muslim, I just feel sorry for you. I'm not even angry. You are exactly like the story in the Quran of the donkey carrying books: You're ignorant of what you are holding. And burning, I might add. But, I will not be questioned about your actions on The Last Day. You alone will stand with your deeds, and even Jesus (peace be upon him) will not save you if God wishes to punish you. For me, I will just pray for your guidance. Because someone as passionate as you can do much good some day."

Sapp proclaims, "Quran says Jesus is not the son of God (which is true, only Prophet. Nor do Jews)" and therefore it is evil and should be burnt. He later adds, "to be a Christian you don't have to believe in God, but believe in Jesus".

What sort of Son would that make Jesus if his father is disbelieved? But would reason work with such nuts?

Hyperventilating Sapp's views is like providing oxygen to the fire and unwittingly aiding in his project. It is best if such nut cases are ignored.

With regards,

Sadanand

Dear All, Come September, we are going to see a new upsurge of Islamophobia.

Below is a Video of an appeal by a Florida Church group, calling for the burning of the Quran - "International Burn a Quran day."

www.secularnewsdaily.com/.../florida-church-to-hold-quran-burning/

This video that features Pastor Wayne Sapp, is utterly bigoted, despicable & crazy & basically says that the Quran & Islam are of the Devil & thus a good Christian should do his/her duty by burning a Quran.

This is after sustained campaigns in parts of the US, waged by certain local communities against the construction of Masjid's in 'their' areas - for reasons of security. (www.islamophobia-watch.com/islamophobia-watch/?)

The Church referred to as the Dove World Outreach Centre (www.doveworld.org/ ) is undoubtedly another Christian Zionist mutation & has been inspired by the Zionists fifth-column.

Many American Christian & Muslim organizations (http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/features-the-religion-world/2010/07/20/muslims-oppose-florida-churchs-burn-a-koran-day/) have begun to protest against this dastardly & highly provocative act, that can have global repercussions in terms of dividing people globally & thus weakening our struggles.

This could develop along the lines of the Prophet Muhammad Cartoon issue, so we need to be careful in India as well.

We will see where it all goes. There are already hundreds of thousands of pages on this problem now on the net.

Do keep your eyes open.
